Google has announced the new Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system and it seems like LG has already started to test it for the LG G3 and G4 phones. Check the LG website for
The biggest clue can be found on LG’s Korean support web page as the LG G3 and G4 versions are already listing the Android 6.0 OS as an updating option. As you most probably know, LG G3 has already skipped the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update which might be an even bigger hint that LG is planning to release the Marshmallow 6.0 treatment sooner rather than later.
At this moment, there are no official reports confirming the Android 6.0 Marshmallow release for these particular LG devices, but you can easily guess that it is only a matter of time until LG notifies its users. The LG G4 smartphone has been released earlier this year, in April, which means that it will surely receive the Android 6.0 update, while the LG G3 was released last year in June with the Android 4.4 KitKat.
Most LG G3 users across the world are already sporting the Android 5.0 Lollipop updates. There is no reason to panic despite the fact that LG hasn’t released the Android 5.1.1 update for its G3 users, as the Korean giant will surely come to its senses and upgrade last year’s flagship device with the latest Android OS build.
The Android 6.0 Marshmallow major new features are the Doze battery optimization function, full Fingerprint Support, Google Now on Tap, and the individual app permissions. You can visit Google’s Android 6.0 website here for more info on their new OS update and all the remaining small features.
If you own the LG G3 or the LG G4 devices, then you should continue visiting your favorite Android-related websites in the following days in order to learn when will the Android 6.0 Marshmallow OTA Update rolls out.
